Investing in yourself doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive.
It can be as simple as reading more books about things that interest you or that might be useful for your life.
I’m always surprised by how few people take the time to regularly read.
I just started the Organized Mind by Dan Levitin, next up after that I’m gonna tackle Value(s) by Mark Carney, and one of my all-time favourites was the Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg.
But it doesn’t even have to be nonfiction. I think there’s something super valuable about reading novels. How it shows you someone else’s thought process and a different way to see the world. I recently loved Artemis by Andy Weir (the guy who wrote the Martian).
And there are, of course, other options. You can find a mentor, take a course, hire a coach or join a community.
But there’s something to be said for keeping it simple. Try picking up a book a little more often and see what happens.
