Weekly market commentary is far more likely to increase your stress levels than your investment returns.
Report after report. Quarterly earnings calls, forecasts and predictions. What the Bank of Canada or Federal Reserve is up to this month. It’s all just noise.
If you enjoy following all of it and get some entertainment value, that’s great. Tune in.
But if you really just want your investments to reliably grow over time, you’re far better off tuning out.
Take a long-term, diversified approach. Be patient. Stay the course.
Reacting to last week’s headlines is only going to hurt you. Don’t let the market madness destroy your peace of mind. It’s not worth your time, energy or attention.
